Magnolia Housing Authority is a non-profit agency that provides housing for low-income persons.  The Housing Authority also provides meals, chore services and transportation for those residents that qualify.  These services help prevent anyone from going to a nursing home or long term care facility prematurely; thereby, saving approximately $3,000 to $4,000 monthly per person in hard tax dollars.  Monies such as United Way have helped to provide these services.
